Apple Blocking Cloud Gaming Apps?
Apple has long been criticized for being so restrictive, either in its physical products or commercial services. And in the latest move, the Cupertino based company is accused of being so strict and unsupportive for cloud-based gaming services. This was initiated by Microsoft, where the Xbox maker has been testing the xCloud in Appstore since last year. xCloud is a cloud-based gaming app where you can stream and play Xbox’s console-level games from your smartphone, by connecting just a controller via USB. This is the same as Google’s Stadia, both of which are available in Android for quite a time. But, these are struggling, and even dropped hopes of making into the iOS store due to Apple’s stringent Appstore policies. Whereas, Apple defended previously saying that, it wants to make the Appstore as a safe place for users for downloading games and providing fair earning opportunity simultaneously. It specifically meant to review every app that it’s onboarding into its store and make sure it’s complying with the policies. But, letting a subscription service which gives access to several other games, which of course, Apple cannot review individually!
